FML Liquifilm - FML Liquifilm is a corticosteroid, prescribed for the swelling caused by infections, injury, surgery or other conditions. Indications: FML Liquifilm is a corticosteroid, prescribed for the swelling caused by infections, injury, surgery or other conditions. Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients with viral or fungal eye infection, ocular herpes, tuberculosis, and hypersensitivity. Dosage: Adult: Ophthalmic- As 0.1% ointment: Apply half an inch ribbon 1-3 times/day. As 0.1% solution: Instill 1-2 drops 2-4 times/day. May increase dose to 4 hourly in severe cases during the initial 24-48 hour. Usage: It comes as eye drops to instill into the affected eyes as directed by your physician. Precautions: Caution should be exercised in patients with history of eye infections, recent eye surgery, cataracts, glaucoma (open-angle type), severe nearsightedness (myopia), diabetes, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Remove your contact lenses before using FML Liquifilm. It may cause blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking FML Liquifilm. Avoid long term use; otherwise it may cause intraocular pressure. Side Effects: Eye - Increased eye pressure, eye nerve damage, cataract, eye inflammation, loss of accommodation, foreign body sensation, eye swelling, eye discharge, eye pain, eye itching and increased tears.
