About Monotrate 10mg Tablet

Monotrate - Isosorbide-5-mononitrate, the long-acting metabolite of isosorbide dinitrate, is used as a vasodilatory agent in the management of angina pectoris. By dilating the vessels, it lowers the blood pressure and reduces the left ventricular preload and afterload, therefore, leads to a reduction of myocardial oxygen requirement.

Monotrate is used to prevent angina (chest pain). It can also be used to treat certain types of heart failure. Monotrate helps to relax and open up the blood vessels. This helps more blood and oxygen to flow to your heart. Monotrate belongs to a group of medicines known as nitrates.

Indications: angina pectoris, heart failure

Long-term management of angina pectoris and heart failure.
