Contraindications: Hypersensitivity. Dosage: Tab- Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 10 mg/day for 7 days. Suppository- 100 mg/day for 6 days. Solution- Instill 1% solution as directed by your physician. Lotion/cream/solution- Apply 2-3 times/day for 2-4 weeks. Usage: It comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It also comes as a cream, lotion, powder and solution to apply over the skin.
Precautions: Avoid contact with eyes. Caution needed in patients with history of diabetes, children less than 3 years, pregnant women and breast feeding. Avoid alcohol consumption. Side Effects: General - Itching, redness, swelling, irritation of skin, nausea, vomiting and burning.
